OUR STORY

It all started with a childhood immersed in Cantonese culinary customs, setting the groundwork for my passion for cooking.
This website is an extension of that initial spark – a platform to explore Chinese cuisine’s beauty, share childhood-inspired recipes, and innovate to preserve tradition.

Just like the legendary phoenix, emerging from the ashes, I truly believe that Chinese cuisine is constantly evolving and adapting while remaining faithful to its origins.

Hello, I’m Celeste! My love for Chinese food goes beyond just one ingredient or dish; it’s a deep appreciation for the entire culinary heritage. Chinese food was the centerpiece of my upbringing. The aroma of our family kitchen and the joy of shared meals are my most cherished memories. I have a strong passion for cooking and a desire to preserve and share these beloved traditions, which is why I’ve launched this website as a dedication to the flavors, aromas, and stories that have influenced my culinary path. This platform is more than a collection of recipes – it’s a doorway to Chinese culture, offering insights
into traditional festivals, practices, and the sensory joy of Chinese cuisine. Drawing inspiration from my background, I aim to showcase a comprehensive look at Chinese cooking, emphasizing its nurturing aspects, historical importance, and everlasting charm. Whether it’s timeless classics or innovative twists, my aim is to keep Chinese cuisine lively and exciting, encouraging you to discover, understand, and relish the tastes of China. I warmly welcome you to a space where each recipe has a story, and every dining experience is a tribute to tradition, culture, and the simple joys of sharing a meal.

A PEEK INTO MY WORLD

I’m a sucker for anything made with flour! Whether it’s buns, dumplings, or noodles, there’s something about flour-based dishes that always hits the spot for me.
By day, I’m an interior designer with a passion for making spaces pop! By night (or whenever hunger strikes!) I turn into a “foodie designer, cooking what I crave the most.
My mom insists I’m a better cook than her – quite the compliment, wouldn’t you agree? Yet she’s quick to point out that I tend to move at a snail’s pace in the kitchen.
Home is a feeling – the warm embrace of comfort you experience after a long tiring day. And guess what evokes that feeling for me? You guessed it – Chinese cuisine!
